Garrett Pro-pointer review.

Tired of digging for hours at one hole that sounded like a good target only to pull out another bottle cap? I know how u feel, but I have not experienced this for some time now thanks to the pro pointer which I will now review.

The Garrett Pro-Pointer is a recovery tool made by Garrett to pinpoint targets in your hole. The tool is designed to cut your recovery time in half by taking you straight to your target.

How does the Garrett Pro-Pointer do this?

The pro-pointer is a miniature metal detector that has a 360 degree “view” around the cylinder. When it is close to metal objects it vibrates and sounds an alert tone. The closer to the metal the more continouse the vibration and tone will be. In this way it guides you straight to your goal in that hole! I have experienced this first hand and it truely is worth its weight in gold!

The Garrett Pro-Pointer is also built tough! Extremely strong and thick cast plastic makes this a study tool. Abuse the hell out of it and it will keep on trucking. Unlike a flimsy thin plastic pointer like the Automax. (Stay away!)

It is also water resistant so you can wash you Pro-Pointer under the tap or use it in damp conditions.

If you wish to use the Pro-Pointer completely submerged in a river for example you can but you will need to do some modifications. Cover the on of button and speaker hole with silicone sealant from your local hardware store. This will give it extra protection in the wet. Also use something like plumbers tape on the threading of the battery enclosure so it is also more water tight.

All in all this versatile tool is a champlion that has helped me recover coin after coin that I would never have found with only my detector. I may have still got them but they would take an hour each to locate taking time away from finding more targets. More volume of digs means more sucess! Time is precious so get you Pro-Pointer as you’ll never regret it! I can go out without mine at all.
