Could it be true? Have the Kruger Millions been Discovered in South Africa?
Most often stories of the Kruger millions being discovered are April fools Jokes like the one where the Kruger Millions were unearthed by the Gautrain digging project.
Another claim of the Kruger Millions discovered comes from a farm in Ermelo South Africa where a few coins were unearthed by local farm labourers who unearthed over 4000 coins and had been selling them off one by one to earn a living. This started a massive gold rush to the region but local authorities kept hush hush on the find and prevented anyone getting near.
Other speculation is that Paul Kruger took the Millions to Switzerland with him where he went in exile. Others say his lifestyle in retirement would have been different if this was the case. So it looks promising that the loot still lies beneath the surface of the good old South African veld.
Rest assured many experts still believe the treasure to be hidden somewhere in the Lowveld. The Kruger coins are worth about 200 pounds each and 20 million pounds total.
If you find the Kruger Millions this would be one of the largest treasure find in the history of the world. But if you found the Kruger Millions could you keep them? Unlightly a find of this magnitude wound most lightly go to the state. However you may get a finder’s fee that you can negotiate. If you feeling brave you could hide them and sell them on the sly but this would not be done legally. You could even melt them down but would you want to destroy such a valuable piece of history?
Perhaps someone already has found them and sold them off but my guess is the Kruger Millions have not been Discovered.
