Metal Detecting Finds Donavan U
Hi my name is Donavan and just started out with metal detecting in 2011.
I have bought myself an Ace 250 which I think works the best for coin hunting on beaches.
This is really great fun and I enjoy digging up my next treasure. This will become a lifetime hobble for me.
Here are a few findings I have with in the 6 month medal detecting on South African Beaches:
More beach detecting finds from Donavan. Some nice ring finds in there. Awesome!

hey! nice finds donovan! Wondering if you know of any place to rent a professional, underwater metal detector in or near cape town? Lost a wedding band in a manmade seaside concrete pool yesterday and haven’t been able to recover it by diving with goggles…was hoping to rent a detector but it’s not easy to track down online…thanks!

Hi, Donavan, great finds, can you maybe tell us the area you search, and was clean or did you have problems with scrap metal, I usually search the beaches in the cape and they are relatively clean accept for bottle caps

hi attie
well a cant’t give away my spots 🙂 they will be cleared out in no time 🙂
Well the beaches I do go to has mainly bottle top as junk , on the ace 250 bottle top read as a positive with a slight difference to a coin, when I do a two to three hour hunt my detector is set on coins so I walk over the negative metal readings . In that way you get to dig up more positive than negative readings, I know that on a beach u should dig up all readings but if coin shooting then no.
what kind of detector do you use ? how do you find it ?
